With proper training and the right attitude, experienced divers can responsibly engage in dives without a buddy. This course is not for everyone, but it offers a unique opportunity to bolster your skills and confidence.
The Self-Reliant Diver course is designed for PADI Advanced Open Water Divers who are at least 18 years old and have 100 logged dives. You’ll learn to compensate for situations you would normally handle with a buddy, including proper dive planning, air consumption calculations, life support system redundancy, and independent management of dive emergencies.
