We’re excited to welcome your group to Island Diving Center! This agreement outlines what’s included in your package, what to expect, and how we’ll work together to ensure a safe, smooth, and unforgettable dive vacation. Please review carefully and share with all group members. Questions? We’re here to help.

Note: This agreement is designed for groups of 12+1 divers. If your group is smaller, different conditions may apply based on your specific arrangements.

Your Responsibilities

  • ● Waiver: Every diver must complete our online waiver (https://go.islanddivingcenter.com/IDCBooking) at least 30 days before arrival.
  • ● Early Hotel Arrival: If arriving before 3:00 PM, visit the dive shop after check-in to collect rental gear and receive a personal locker.
  • ● Group Briefing: Held at 5:00 PM on arrival day – meet your dive team, review the weekly plan, and ask questions.
  • ● Arrival Time for Dives:
    • ● Day 1: Arrive 30 minutes before your first dive.
    • ● Other days: Arrive 15 minutes before departure.
  • ● Pre-Dive Fitness: Avoid alcohol or drugs before diving. Let your instructor know if you’re unwell or need support.
  • ● Air Reserve: Always end dives with at least 800 PSI (recommended: 1000 PSI).
  • ● Safety Stops: All dives end with a 3-minute stop at 5m/15ft.
  • ● Personal Equipment Responsibility: Our team will handle assembly, tank changes, and rinsing, but divers must manage and rinse their weights, mask, fins, dive computer, flashlight, and camera daily.

Our Commitments to You

  • ● Provide well-maintained dive boats and gear
  • ● Assign experienced dive pros (1 guide per 6–8 divers)
  • ● Follow PADI and local safety standards
  • ● Tailor dive sites and schedules based on conditions and group skill level

Dive Guidelines & Special Cases

  • ● Boat Departure Times: 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 2:00 PM
  • ● Depth Limits:
    • ● Open Water Divers: Max 18m (60ft)
    • ● Advanced Open Water: Max 30m (100ft)
    • ● No deeper dives allowed, regardless of experience
  • ● Night Dives:
    • ● Must be Advanced Certified or show logbook proof of prior night dives
    • ● Night Dive Adventure training is required if no prior experience, and must be conducted by an instructor from our team at an additional cost
    • ● Each diver must have a flashlight (rentals available)

Children

  • ● No guests under 14 at Brisas del Mar.
  • Diving with kids under 15? We’ll assign extra instructors and follow depth limits:
    • ● Under 11: Max 12m (40ft)
    • ● Ages 12–14: Max 21m (70ft)
  • ● A parent or guardian must accompany children during dives.

Group Leaders

  • ● Your dive fees are on us when booking 12+ divers!

Dive Courses

  • ● Courses can be taught by our instructors or your qualified group leader.
  • ● All courses follow agency standards; certification is based on performance and safety adherence.

Environmental Stewardship

We love our reefs and ask for your help in protecting them:

  • ● No touching or taking marine life (even shells or sand)
  • ● Practice good buoyancy and awareness
  • ● Be mindful of your fins – avoid kicking or touching the reef. Coral is fragile and easily damaged

Payment & Cancellation

To Book:

  • ● 20% deposit due at least 90 days in advance. The earlier the better, as we cannot guarantee boat exclusivity or availability without timely booking. The group reservation is only confirmed once the deposit is received.
  • ● Balance due 45 days before arrival

Cancellation Policy:

  • ● Cancel 60+ days out: Full refund, minus $200 admin fee
  • ● Cancel 30–60 days out: 50% refund or reschedule within 6 months
  • ● Cancel <30 days: No refund, but full reschedule within 6 months with no extra charge

Brisas Del Mar Resort Info

  • ● $250 damage deposit per room (refunded after checkout)
  • ● No smoking in rooms, please
  • ● Reception open 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • ● Meals available daily 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • ● Weekly entertainment for all guests
